About Simplicity and Order

A month ago, a cool guy I met in my office told me about a girl from Japan, a sort of guru for all, skilled in order and discipline: Marie Kondo – The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying.

I thought… you’re kidding, right? To throw such an idea in front of a reformed obsessive-compulsive?

These days I started to flip through it and I couldn’t put it down; I highly recommend it. If I hadn’t chosen psychotherapy, I probably would have pursued a career in tidying up my life and others’.

The principle is a simple one: after starting by tidying up your house, your bag (exclusively for women), your desk, your car, your mind, and your relationships, you realize that you’ve managed to bring order to your life.

What I understood: learning to tidy up and starting to do so is about practicing healthy boundaries, and that’s a first step.

You can find the book at Trei Publishing House.

PS:  I believe that in a previous life, I was a little Japanese person obsessed with simplicity and order.
